Fall Protection

The ANSI fall protection and fall restraint standards address fall protection equipment, fall arrest, rescue, evacuation, and other fall hazards. The standards address how to identify hazards to prevent injuries while working at heights. 

OSHA guidelines create a safer workplace with fall protection standards. 

Ineffective or missing fall protection has been OSHA's most-cited violation and falls are the leading cause of death in the construction industry. 

OSHA has established industry-specific requirements and tools to reduce the risks that come with working at elevated heights.

The standards address fall protection equipment, responsibilities of users and employers, rescue plans in case of falls, definitions, safety requirements, and more.  

Worker fatalities: According to OSHA, on average, there are more than 100 fatalities a week or more than 14 deaths every day.
