IPAF e-learning MEWP Supervisor Training

All personnel that directly supervise MEWP operators shall receive training. 

Companies that use a MEWP (Scissor lift, Boom lift) must designate a person to monitor, supervise, and evaluate operators on a regular basis to ensure their mastery. These individuals must receive Supervisor training.  As of 2020, this is now a law in the United States. 

The course covers what supervisors need to know regarding the rules, regulations, and standards that apply to MEWPs for safe and effective use, including selecting the right equipment, complying with the operator's manual, and identifying all possible environmental risks. 

This is an online training class designed to be compliant with social distancing requirements. 

• Do you know your responsibilities as a MEWP supervisor?
• Have you selected the right machine for the job?
• Are your people authorized, trained, and familiar with the MEWP?
• Have you identified hazards and taken safety measures for the environment?

Anyone responsible for overseeing site management of MEWPs. Examples include supervisors, employers, project managers, and foremen. 

The course covers what supervisors must know to ensure the safe use of MEWPs on site. The course concludes with a written test. Upon successful completion of the theory test, candidates receive an IPAF certification. 

IPAF offers an e-learning online version of the MEWP supervisor training course. This course enables candidates to take the training in sections and pass the online course at a time, pace, and place of your choice.
